Secure storage sites for a touring caravan typicaly cost £240 plus per year, the good ones have a waiting list but how do you know if they are good or not?
Thefts from caravans do occur on secure storage sites, so although your insurance will probably cover this you are advised to be very careful what you leave in your caravan. Remember it is not just thefts of caravans that occur, thefts from caravans are relatively common. Gas bottles are an obvious case in point, rogue caravanners on your storage site may be tempted if you leave them unsecured.
Theft of caravans from storage sites is often planned and organised by gangs who break through the security fence and pick out a number of caravans. Often these are higher value twin axle models. So if you have a lower value lightweight single axle you are at lower risk than your neighbours with heavy expensive models.
